“I began my yoga experience about 5 years ago when I was 70 years old and have had one instructor, Michelle Brinkley.  Michelle gets to know the problems each of her students has and works to solve these conditions.  She also tries to get each student to understand that yoga is not a competition with others or yourself.  Michelle is finally getting it through my thick skull not to be competitive.  While learning from her, I have had to quit taking some high blood pressure meds because my pulse got too low.  I have also lost about 20 pounds.  I have arthritis, but it does not dominate my life as it used to.  I have other physical problems, such as a bone to bone shoulder joint and right hip replacement, but I still do what I can when I go to class using modifications.

My favorite class is Yogalates, followed by Chair Yoga (a class that I share with my wife), followed by Yoga for Athletes, then Slow Flow.”

“I've taken several of Michelle's yoga classes and LOVE LOVE LOVE them and her!  I used to chase Michelle all over town to attend her classes when I could (totally worth it), but now Michelle comes into our corporate office twice a week Noon - 1pm and teaches a yoga class to our employees!  It's such a good way to stay healthy and reduce stress!  It's also extremely convenient as we do not need to go anywhere, Michelle comes to us!  We use an empty conference or meeting room and just push the tables and chairs to the side and it works great!  It's such a perfect way to stretch and reduce stress in the middle of a busy day!  Michelle's technique is a version of slow flow (so we don't sweat,) is for any level, non-judgmental and uplifting.  I also love the low lighting and music she plays during class, so relaxing!  Thank you so much Michelle for coming into our office to teach!  It's AWESOME!”

Meet Joyce…

I started practicing yoga with Michelle in 2016 due to chronic pain. I have nerve damage, numbness and weakness in my left arm and was unable to move my neck due to spinal surgery (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) in 2013. Michelle was just finishing her Holy Yoga Therapy certification and was able to modify my practice to meet my physical needs. We spent a lot of time together the first year working through the physical and spiritual pain caused by the injury and surgery. Michelle helped me find the strength within myself to push through those difficult days. As a result, I am able to move my neck and find relief from the pain.

I love MWB Yoga! I love that it is Christ-centered and God’s word is a part of each session. My practice has been more than physical healing, it’s mind, body, and spirit! Michelle brings a strong faith and gentle spirit to her classes and enables all of her students to find wholeness and healing.
