Class Descriptions

All classes are Christ-centered Movement-Worship-Breath practices with Biblical meditations.

  • Beginner’s Yoga (Beginner)

    • Build a solid foundation for your yoga practice by learning the basic principles, techniques, and poses of yoga.  Focus is on alignment, understanding, and having fun.  This is a progressive series that build from one week to the next, preparing students to enter a Slow Flow class.

  • Chair Yoga (Beginner)

    • Safe and supported with the use of a chair and other props, students improve mobility, strength, balance, circulation respiration, and digestion through physical movement, breath practice and meditation.  Great for those with arthritis, osteoporosis, limited mobility, post-op rehabilitation, and beginners.

  • Gentle Yoga (Beginner)

    • A restful and calming class, focused on gentle flowing movements with breath.  Slower movements and deeper stretching. Great for those with arthritis, osteoporosis, injury, limited mobility, post-op rehabilitation, and beginners.   

  • Holy Yoga 101 (4-week class)(Beginner)

    • Holy Yoga 101 Introductory Series is for students to build an understanding and foundation of yoga, becoming familiar with basic theory, postures, and class formats.  Each class includes a discussion outline handout and a different class format to try each week: chair yoga, beginner’s yoga, yogalates, and slow flow.  In addition, students will get to experience yoga as worship within an environment that fosters interaction and questions.

  • Slow Flow Yoga (Intermediate)

    • Introspective slow movements linking breath with motion. Focus is on breath work and reliance on God through meditation. Slow enough for all levels while giving the most advanced student the opportunity for growth. 

  • Holy Yogalates (Intermediate)

    • Combination of Holy Yoga movements with the fundamentals of Pilate’s abdominal work. Also included, a 4-minute Yoga Shred-Inspired HIIT for a blast of cardio. Participants need to be able to move off and on the floor with minimal assistance.  Come ready to sweat!  Bring a towel and water.  All levels are welcome. 

  • Yoga Flow (Intermediate)

    • Revitalizing and fun class set to upbeat worship and praise music. A lot of movement combined with challenging postures designed to strengthen and detoxify. Come ready to sweat!  All levels are welcome.

  • Power Yoga (Advanced)

    • Power Yoga is a vigorous well-rounded physical class meant to include all aspects of physical fitness– tone, suppleness, balance, and stamina.  Expect arm balances and long creative standing sequences.  Also included, are a minimum of two 4-minute Yoga Shred-Inspired HIIT for a blast of cardio. Come ready to sweat!  Bring a towel and water.  This more advanced class is not for beginners.

  • Yoga for PTSD (Attendees must commit to the entire session.)

    • This calming repetitive class format calms the fight-or-flight response system. Focus is on breathing, relaxing from strong impressions, and connecting to the body in an empowering strengthening format.  Amputees welcome.  

  • Yoga for Amputees (I require a wheelchair accessible room to teach this class.)

    • This class is designed to guide amputees into supportive community and back to their essential wholeness through the experience of yoga as a mental, physical, emotional and spiritual practice dedicated to the joy of being alive.

  • Yoga for Athletes

    • A deeper stretching restorative flow class focused on strength training recovery.  Expect hip openers, chest expanding techniques, and a practice with full deep breaths.  All levels welcome.
